The printing industry is accustomed to using an Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) workflow, and more commercial labs and graphics facilities are finding PDF to be a valuable tool.
At Vista Color Imaging, a commercial facility in Cleveland, Ohio, CEO Pete Gallo says PDFs are more frequently being used as proofing devices and references in the proofing and approval cycles. "They are used to discuss projects before the job is given, all the way through the proofing, production, and archiving cycles. It has been a great facilitator to our industry."
