SEOUL, Jan 17 Asia Pulse - The government will build a pilot complex as a prelude to the country's first "tourism-leisure city" that is being planned for Korea's southwestern coast, said Minister of Culture and Tourism Chung Dong-chae on Monday.
The complex will cover between 9.9 million and 16.5 million square meters in the coastal area of South Jeolla Province, he announced at a press briefing.
The tourist-orientated city is one of four corporate cities that the government is pursuing for balanced regional development and to enhance the nation's competitiveness. The other three will be geared around industry-trade, knowledge-based industry and building ...
