SEOUL, Jan. 17 (Yonhap) -- The National Election Commission said Monday it will introduce touch-screen electronic balloting as early as this year.The new electronic balloting system will allow voters to vote from any polling station throughout the country without having to register for an absentee-ballot, the commission said.The decision to introduce the new system was made at a plenary meeting of the commission, but the electronic devices for the new system were actually developed in 2001, according to commission officials.The new electronic ballot devices will be introduced for organizational and municipal elections this year before making their ...
