Jan. 18--An Israeli pharmaceutical company said Monday that it has been awarded approval to market a generic version of Pfizer Inc.'s antifungal drug Diflucan.
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said the federal Food and Drug Administration granted final approval for the company's Fluconazole Injection available in 2-milligram-per-milliliter 200- and 400-milligram bags. The pharmaceutical maker said that a final launch date has not been determined. Shares of Teva, which trade on the NASDAQ electronic exchange, closed the day's trading at $28.53 a share, up 8 cents from the prior day's trading.
