Ansel Adams The Early Years: A rare cityscape of New York's RCA Building is among the 77 early photographs by Ansel Adams (1902-1984) featured in "Ansel Adams: The Early Years," on view at The New York Historical Society from now until Oct. 11. Organized by the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the exhibition includes Adams' signature landscapes of the Southwest, as well as several of the artist's lesser-known images of still-life and portraiture. Rarely exhibited as a group, these experimental images of the 1920s and 1930s form the basis of Adams' more celebrated later works.
