At age 60, just maybe Jerry Springer has finally found his true calling: Talk radio.
The enigmatic Springer, known in these parts as a former Cincinnati mayor, politician and anchorman, and to the rest of the world as the "crown prince of trash TV," unveiled his new Monday to Friday talk show at 9 a.m. today on WCKY-AM (1530).
The show is formally called "Jerry Springer on the Radio." It debuted as a breezy mix of serious liberal talk and good, old-fashioned silliness. It is a mix very much like Springer's personality.
