FIGHTING FLAT-PANEL FUZZ
I just purchased a new 19-inch LCD (Dell's UltraSharp 1905FP), and the black text is not as sharp as I had expected. Can you explain why it would be fuzzy and not extra-sharp on a state-of-the-art monitor?

THE FIRST THING TO CHECK is whether you have your display settings at 1,280x1,024, the native resolution for your monitor. If you use any other setting, the panel will have to scale the image and use anti-aliasing to fill in the blanks, which will make text look less than crisp.
