This week's signing of a trade cooperation pact between Israel and the newly independent central Asian republic of Kazakhstan is a bonanza in more than one respect for Israel. Coming on the heels of the opening of diplomatic and trade ties with China, India and Russia, the move highlights Israel's rapidly growing international acceptability, after years of being a diplomatic outcast. The agreement establishes a joint committee of economists, manufacturers and businessmen, that will lay the groundwork for various joint economic projects.
