On his recent four-day visit to Israel, New York's Governor Mario M. Cuomo visited AVX Israel Ltd. in Jerusalem, in order to highlight New York State's "Global New York" program in Israel. The governor was accompanied on his visit by New York State's Director of Economic Development Vincent Tese. "The success story of the AVX company in New York State and in Israel demonstrates a new kind of global enterprise, an economic partnership between New York and Israel that produces jobs in both lands," the Governor said.
