PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Calvin B. Johnson today announced nearly $140,000 in grants to assist four Pennsylvania-based cancer researchers working on developments to fight breast and cervical cancer. The grants were made possible through the support of Pennsylvanians who donated all or a portion of their state income tax refunds to the Breast and Cervical Cancer Research Fund or made personal donations to the fund through the Department of Health. The announcement was made at The Wistar Institute in Philadelphia.
