Jan. 20--ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. -- In a city infamous for perpetual traffic jams along its major highways, officials hope to create a better way to move people around: combining on-demand mass transit with high-tech gimmicks that give buses an edge over cars. The unique plan has captured the attention of federal transit officials and has the potential to become a national model.
