Jan. 21--New York's wine industry, seeking the sober facts about its impact on the state's economy, has hired a Napa Valley consultant to conduct a study.
The New York State Wine & Grape Foundation has engaged the MKF Group of St. Helena, Calif., to undertake the study, which also will cover grape juice production.
Data collection has just begun, and a report is expected to be completed by September.
