ONE of the greatest sitcoms Britain ever made was undoubtedly Blackadder.
The comic premise was perfect. Throughout history, one particularly despicable aristocratic name was at the centre of the English political scene - Edmund Blackadder.
Thriving at first, due to his devious, dastardly ways, Edmund always came a cropper by the final episode.
