ANYONE who plays golf will have heard the old gag about the destruction of the Sahara Forest. It goes along the lines that the desert was only created when a 28-handicapper showed up and started whacking his ball into the trees.
Thankfully, although the Sahara borders Morocco to the south, the joke certainly doesn't apply to its golf courses. As well as having countless trees and col ourful bushes, the only sand you'll encounter is firmly planted in the bunkers.
