Albert Lea, Minn. -- Mayor Jean Eaton has heard the gossip, the accusations and the calls for her resignation since being charged with theft last month in an alleged clothes-swapping scam.
"This is a nightmare," Eaton, 53, said last week. "I'm a good mayor. I'm a pusher, I'm a driver, I've worked hard for Albert Lea. I'm probably the biggest cheerleader Albert Lea has. I believe in Albert Lea."
But do the citizens of Albert Lea still believe in Eaton, who is scheduled to make her first court appearance today in Rochester?
