On a blustery Tuesday night in Rogers, the small but anxious-to-grow town that greets commuters on Interstate Hwy. 94 with billboards pushing everything from Harley-Davidsons to Rado wristwatches, the movie was about to begin. As the lights were dimmed, the crowd at the city's community center grew quiet.
The star of the show, of course, was Cabela's. The outsized hunting and fishing retailer plans to build a 185,000-square-foot store that will change not only Rogers but also likely add to the hypergrowth already going on along the I-94 corridor between the Twin Cities and St. Cloud.
