Richard Feynman was a living question mark, the embodiment of some words he wrote in a class paper: "I wonder why I wonder why. I wonder why I wonder. I wonder why I wonder why I wonder."
Born in Far Rockaway, Queens, NY, in 1918, Feynman was, just as all kids are, naturally inquisitive. But something set him apart. While most kids just ask why something happens, Feynman was determined to find out why. Over time, he perfected a novel way of problem-solving that led him to become one the most respected and appreciated scientists of our day.
