Jan. 28--Nokia Oyj said Thursday it plans to eliminate 350 jobs at its Alliance facility in Fort Worth as it moves "high-volume, final assembly processes" from Alliance to other Nokia facilities.
"Reducing personnel is always a very tough decision," said Jeff Devine, vice president of operations and logistics for the Americas. The changes "will enhance our capability to ship directly to retail locations and support our new growth areas such as enterprise solutions and multimedia," he said.
