Jan. 29--The massive Forum at Olympia Parkway retail center at Loop 1604 and Interstate 35 attracts more than just customers -- it's also putting money into the coffers of Live Oak and Selma, which use it to lure more businesses and improve its community.
Shoppers are actually the ones who provide that money for those small cities to grow. A portion of the sales tax from every purchase goes to an economic development fund that some cities use to attract more businesses.
