FRANKFORT -- About five years ago when Paul Boggs wanted to hire a new associate, he only needed to know if he could afford the commanded salary.
Nowadays the principals at Boggs & Colvin law firm in Florence have to figure out if they can afford the health insurance, too.
"It is so expensive that we have to consider it when hiring," said Boggs, whose firm employs six full-time staffers. Concerns like those of Boggs will be heard next Thursday as small business owners rally here and lobby lawmakers to make health insurance less costly.
