To write or recite - redact or act? Those questions might not have the fatalistic ring of Hamlet's famous soliloquy. They do represent a weighty enough dilemma for actor-playwright Ellen McLaughlin, whose raw, poetic and shatteringly brilliant version of "Oedipus" is now up at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis.
McLaughlin has been recognized for her work on both sides of the footlights.
