The Annapolis area is perhaps the most well-known area in the Washington region for waterfront properties, some of them among the most expensive in the region.
Buyers looking for a home with a deep-water boat slip and water views may want to set sail for locations other than the immediate Annapolis area, such as in southern Anne Arundel, a region referred to by locals as South County, or in neighborhoods in the central part of the county.
