Feb. 3--VIRGINIA BEACH -- The job description for openings at Carl Manuzzi's auto detailing or car wash might have read like this: must be hard- working, dedicated and have a criminal record.

Manuzzi served more than 15 years in prison, so when he started his CM Auto Detailing and CM WASH he decided to give people like him a second chance.

"Almost everybody that worked for him spent some time in jail," said Manuzzi's best friend James Bringer, a former employee.

"He knew how hard it was, so he just wanted to look out."

Manuzzi died Jan. 29 at the age of 59 after a stroke.
