Carole Grafer of Grayslake e-mailed me her pound cake recipe.
"Would you work your magic and see what substitutions could be made to cut the fat and calories please?" she wrote. "It would be great to be able to eat this or give it as gifts without feeling guilty about all the calories!"
Before I turned on my calculator, I decided to do some pound cake research. Some folks probably believe that Sara Lee invented pound cake, but it's actually hundreds of years old.
