FULHAM penalty hero Edwin van der Sar believes his decision to stay at the club will help him achieve his 2006 World Cup ambitions.
Van der Sar pulled off two penalty saves from Aston Villa striker Juan Pablo Angel at Craven Cottage on Wednesday night to help Fulham, who travel to Anfield tomorrow to face Liverpool, stretch their unbeaten run to eight matches.
The giant Dutchman twice dived to his right to prevent Angel from scoring with spot kicks in the 75th and 81st minutes.
