Doctors and nurses can have the same level of knowledge of basic clinical practice. This is according to a study by Enrico Coiera from the University of New South Wales's Centre for Health Informatics, in which doctors and nurses sat an exam. The doctors gave more correct answers than the nurses, but when all participants were given access to a new search engine to help them answer the questions, the difference in performance levelled out.
