SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has hit back at his wife's critics, insisting she did not force him to have plastic surgery and is not at loggerheads with his children.

The former Beatle wrote a three-page message on Heather Mills-McCartney's web site following a newspaper article which said losing her leg ``fed her craving for publicity''.

He also said on heathermillsmccart ney. com that his wife did not influence him in the row over Lennon/ McCartney credits for the song Yesterday.
