New Web site to pool indie buying power on videos.(News)(launch of indieBuyer by Had to Be Made Films)

What if independent retailers could get the same kind of bulk discounts that huge chains do? What if there was some way to pool the strength of the independent retail community to command the same kinds of prices that big box retailers pay for their cassettes and DVDs?

The founders of Had to Be Made Films, who have been a part of the Video Software Dealers Association's annual convention for the last few years, think they may just have come up with that way.

It's called indieBuyer. It's an in-the-works Web site where a small retailer can search for -product from smaller content suppliers, order as many or as few copies as they desire at the suppliers' initial set ...
