Effective Jan. 1, 1993, Alabama will become the second state to mandate continuing education for architects and engineers to maintain licensure.
Acknowledging the inevitability that more states will mandate continuing education for maintaining architecture and engineering licensure, the national engineering and architectural registration boards are developing guidelines for continuing education legislation.
The guidelines being prepared by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) are intended to help standardize the requirements for other states that adopt ...
