Central New York's recent rash of snowmobile accidents is a reminder that the safest way to enjoy power-sledding is to join an organized club and travel on its groomed, marked trails.
Seven Onondaga County-based snowmobile clubs have regular monthly meetings scheduled between this Tuesday and Feb. 16. Each maintains miles of scenic trails, and all are glad to meet prospective new members.
The Sno Owls Club meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Euclid Hotel. Call Sandy Murphy at 699-3269 for details.
At 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the LaFayette Trail Riders meet at the LaFayette V.F.W. Post on Route 11. ...
