A group of investors is challenging News Corporation's offer for the shares it does not own in Fox Entertainment. The dual-listed Australian-US media group has been forced by a US court to extend the offer for a second time, to 4 March 2005. Before then, Delaware's Court of Chancery will decide on a motion for an injunction prohibiting the offer. News Corporation has stated that it knows of 17 legal challenges to its proposal. News is offering its own shares for the outstanding 17.9 per cent of Fox Entertainment.
