NORWALK, Conn. -- Kayak.com today announced the consumer launch of Kayak.com, a comparison shopping website that helps users make informed decisions in their travel planning. Started by the "Dream Team of Online Travel," including the co-founders of Orbitz, Expedia and Travelocity, the site launches after four months of extensive consumer beta testing.
Kayak.com is the first travel search engine to integrate user-created reviews and ratings and other relevant travel information with real-time prices and availability. The site accesses over 100 online travel sites with just one click, providing prices and itineraries for more than 550 airlines and 85,000 hotels.
