Feb. 8--Buoyed by relocations -- mainly from Stamford -- Norwalk boasted a higher office occupancy rate than Stamford for a second straight quarter. As of Dec. 31, 17.4 percent of the city's 5 million square feet of office space was available for lease or sublease, compared with 19.6 percent in the third quarter of last year and 22.2 percent at the end of 2003, according to an average taken from five real estate firms' figures.

In Stamford, 20 percent of the city's 14.5 million square feet of office space was available at the end of last year, up slightly from 19.7 percent in the third quarter of 2004 and 19 percent a year ago. ...
