It didn't take long for Phillip Skeeter to realize he was the star of his South Norfolk recreational basketball team.
At age 8 he was the leading scorer. If he took a break from the game, teammates and fans would chant his name. They needed him, and he came through in the clutch.
Skeeter joined the AAU Chesapeake Maddogs, which showcased some of the city's top prospects. Skeeter was a dynamic player, and couldn't wait for his time at Indian River High School.
