EAGLE MOUNTAIN, UTAH -- Hooge Consulting Service Inc. announced Jan. 18 that it has entered into an exclusive, worldwide license agreement with the University of Arkansas for a new, patent-pending poultry molting technology involving iodinated organic compounds such as levothyroxine (L-thyroxine) or thyroactive iodinated casein.
Dr. Danny M. Hooge, president and consulting animal nutritionist, worked cooperatively with University of Arkansas avian physiology professors--Drs. Robert F. Wideman Jr. and Wayne J. Kuenzel--on the research and development efforts. The Arkansas scientists are located at the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science in Fayetteville.
