Most of us probably remember the Pocket Fisherman. It was that ingenious little device that looked like the nozzle on a gas pump but stored an array of fishing lures, bobbers and ho, s at the ready. This little plastic marvel fit comfortably into your backpack or glove compartment, giving you the freedom your backpack or glove compartment, giving you the freedom to fish whenever you felt the urge.
Not everybody rushed out and bought Ron Popeil's little fishing wonder, but at the very least, the thought of achieving complete fishing freedom created a little consumer excitement.
