LONDON - After years of dithering, Prince Charles finally is going to wed his longtime love, Camilla Parker Bowles - the divorcee blamed by the late Princess Diana for the breakup of her own marriage to Britain's heir apparent.
The 56-year-old king-in-waiting announced yesterday that he and Mrs. Parker Bowles, who he has known for 35 years, will be married in a low-key civil ceremony April 8 at Windsor Castle.
But just as there was to be no Queen Wallis for his great-uncle, King Edward VIII, who had to give up the crown to marry Baltimore-born American divorcee Wallis Warfield Simpson nearly 70 years ago, ...
