There are mistakes that are inexplicable and inexcusable.
I've made them. You've probably made them.
You're going along pursuing your business, thinking you are doing your best, when you take your eye off the goal. Maybe you're cocky. Maybe you're distracted. For whatever reason, you do something, or you fail to do something, that results in an embarrassing and costly mistake you can't take back or repair. All you can do is say you're sorry and recommit yourself to a level of discipline and detail that will prevent such an error from occurring again.
