Well, they've done it again. Our legislating geniuses in Richmond have managed to turn Virginia - "Birthplace of Presidents" - into a punch line for the nation.
The nation ? W hat am I saying? We've become a global joke.
Even so, it was a thrill to turn on the television Tuesday to see news anchors snickering over the latest lunacy to come out of the "oldest continuously meeting legislative body" on the continent. We not only made for snide headlines on CNN and other cable news services, but the BBC had a belly laugh at our expense.
They were also howling in Hawaii, where a TV station aired a news brief, "Low ...
