NEW YORK - Talk about fetching.
Target announced the launch of its new pet department with a full-fledged doggie fashion show here yesterday. The models, from a pair of Boston terriers named Chip and Sparkle to a denim jacket-clad Brussels griffon named Pip, were pros. Nobody marked their territory on the runway, though a few did sniff the audience.
Isaac Mizrahi was backstage after the show. Mizrahi, who has a 5-year-old border collie mutt named Harry, designed some of the new line, including a black pump squeaky toy and a pink polo shirt. He said the Target show was the best show he'd ever seen.
