Feb. 12--PLAIN JANE GOES MEDITERRANEAN: A nondescript real estate office on upper State Street is in the midst of an "extreme makeover" that should transform it into a head-turning Mediterranean beauty.
The Century 21 A Hart Realty office at 3412 State St. is adding a second story of four residential units. When completed, the mixed-use building will double in size from its original 3,800 square feet and have a Santa Barbara Spanish-style identity.
