A double-digit December group surge in ad revenue (+15.04%) wasn't enough to reverse a tough tide for our Developer/Tech sector in 2004. Even though several titles--including CMP Media's MSDN Magazine (+21.92% ad pages/+29.45% ad revenue), 101communications' recently rechristened Redmond (+12.90%/ +13.10%) and Fawcette Technical Publications' Visual Studio Magazine (+11.18%/+15.85%)--got the banner months they've been dreaming of, it wasn't nearly enough to pull the sector out of the tank in year-to-date results.
