The batting average is getting higher for Major League Baseball licenses

After struggling along for more than 100 years without the support of a licensed footwear line, professional baseball is fostering a surge in baseball-inspired active casual footwear and sportswear designs.

Highlighted by the first extensive Major League Baseball (MLB) licensed athletic footwear line, the first products are due in stores in February, driven, say executives in the footwear and baseball licensing markets, by a whole range of factors from the local to the global.
