PULLMAN, Wash. - They turned the ball over 22 times.
They sent Washington State to the free-throw line twice as many times.
They were tired and some of them sick.
But the Ducks still were able to take care of business Thursday night, grinding down the Cougars 62-47 in a Pac-10 Conference women's basketball game.
Paired with a loss by UCLA, Oregon (9-4) was able to muscle its way into sole possession of third place, though by only a half-game.
The Ducks' overall record ballooned to 16-6, and they will lug that performance into Saturday's expected haymaker of a game at Washington.
