WASHINGTON, D.C. -- John Fahey, National Geographic president and CEO, and Dennis Patrick, president and CEO of National Geographic Ventures (NGV), announced today that Patrick has been named chairman, NGV, while retaining the function of CEO, providing broad, strategic oversight for the company. Patrick is stepping down as president, NGV, and this position is being filled immediately by Tim Kelly, formerly president, National Geographic Television & Film (NGT&F).
