HER sheep have been producing award-winning feta cheese on the North Yorkshire moors for 18 years.
But Judy Bell's business could soon be under threat if Brussels' bureaucrats get their way.
The European Commission says the cheese, made from pasteurised ewes' milk, should not be called feta as it doesn't come from Greece.
Although 'feta' simply means 'slice,' and it is now produced in many European countries, the Greeks have been granted a monopoly.
They won a ruling similar to those covering Parma ham, champagne and Jersey Royal potatoes, which all have protected status.
Lawyers from Germany and Denmark have launched an appeal but ...
