GREEN BAY, Wis. - Given up for dead emotionally and psychologically, the Minnesota Vikings somehow roared to life Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Few NFL teams ever entered the playoffs in as sorry a manner as did the Vikings.
En route to an 8-8 record, the Vikings lost seven of their final 10 regular-season games and four of their last five.
The Vikings virtually begged to be excluded from the playoffs, but they were able to back in to a berth because the NFC was so weak this season.
