It isn't a stretch to say the competitors at the state ski championships this weekend will be trying to reach the Summit.
No pun intended, but Summit reached familiar heights a year ago and will be the favorite in the 41st boys and 31st girls state meets that will be competed Friday and Saturday at Keystone Resort.
Summit ended the Aspen girls' four-year reign in last year's event and the Tigers once again will be the ones to watch. The boys stopped Aspen at two.
