REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- A newly published report by Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the networking and telecommunications industries, reveals that the market for high-end modular Gigabit and modular 10 Gigabit Ethernet switches, grew strongly despite a flat overall market.
According to the Dell'Oro Group report, shipments of modular Gigabit ports exceeded those of modular Fast Ethernet ports for the first time. In addition, shipments of modular 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports grew in excess of 70 percent for the second quarter in a row.
