Feb. 17--WINTER PARK -- With its boutiques and cafes, Park Avenue is still a shopping and dining mecca. But the district needs a spark to keep ahead of the competition, a recent survey says.
The corridor's customers say parking is inadequate, complain about a lack of entertainment and say Winter Park Village and the Mall at Millenia are getting a share of their business, according to the survey results presented to city officials this week. Park Avenue merchants are preparing to respond with extended store hours, the possibility of valet parking and a new movie theater.
